Well, goodness. I'm shocked and really pleasantly surprised to be made Blog of Note. And now I feel a bit bad for throwing a quick post up last night because I hadn't posted for a few days. I'm never going to assume that people can't see me when I'm up to no good again.

Was intrigued by your name Bag Lady! I do hope you can still treat yourself to the occasional handbag. I was so spoilt for years because The Man designed handbags and every time I bought a new pair of shoes he would design and make me a bag...... but he got so fed up with trying to compete with cheap imports he changed careers. Hi again ... 'History Societies' ... Jeez I didn't think I was quite such a lost niche product !! ;) This Cartoons of Old blog was really a bit of an experiment as I play around with the new Blogger template designs and thought what avenue I might try next. I'd had a story blog before which ultimately resulted in a book being commissioned by a publisher. It was designed as a 'stocking filler' and has done well, virtually selling out the first run and they have comissioned a second volume for 2011. Which is all good, but I was in need of some new 'inspiration' and fun, so am now playing around with blogs to see what comes up.
Your blog is the inspiration for more 'tweaking' and new formats. Enjoy your take on things and your writing style, so hope you have many more stalkers and go on to bigger and better things !! I meanwhile will pursue the historical societies of the world and unite them in a cartoon frenzy ... ;)
