We share the remains of a bottle of wine, a thimbleful or so each from the bottom of a bottle of Greek red. Tiny glasses are an affectation we picked up with friends while on a trip to London; there’s something special about this Alice in Wonderland scale measure.
Then we sit in companionable silence as three different clocks tick away the moments; a couple of hours until I pack, seventeen hours until the cab, twenty hours until the flight. And four days after that flight leaves I will land back in England.
I tell myself it is no time.

I love the idea of three different clocks ticking away the moments. I hope one is on fast time to bring you back quickly.
Smashing
I agree with Sharon, the idea of three different clocks ticking away the moments is amazing. I think your 100 words posts are showing what a brilliant writer you are.
Me three - love the three different clocks. Magnificent posting!
Love the post... Nice way to count down the time for a journey. Love it
I guess my comment isn't very original, but I definitely love the clock theme!
Very well written!
Get back safely! :-)
My husband is away too and I'm definitely happier when he is here.
