100 Words: World Book Night

I open the front cover of each book and check to make sure there’s space for me to write. I write my name and look up to check that I’ve got the right details – I don’t want to get the inscription muddled up.

I wonder a little if this bears any relation to a proper book signing, how an author feels when they sign their name in the front of their book, trying not to make a mistake.

Tomorrow I will take these books to work, to the pub, to anywhere that I can find non-readers. And give them away.

Filled in my books yesterday and also had to keep checking the numbers! Will be giving out books (Roald Dahl's "Someone Like You")at the school where I work tomorrow. Good luck with your giving!

I like that Ender's Game made their list. I really enjoyed reading that book. Tablet style computers on which young people can play games- what a futuristic idea.

Did you succeed in giving away everything on the first day? took me a day or two longer, but tried to be strict and only gave to my patients.

I did world book night too! My mom runs a children's home and a whole team of people joined to donate books to the kids there.
